Rehmannia glutinosa for perimenopausal syndrome in patients with breast cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Systematic review and meta-analysis of 17 RCTs involving 1,139 patients assessing the effect of Chinese herbal medicine with Rehmannia glutinosa as the main ingredient on perimenopausal syndrome in breast cancer patients. The treatment significantly improved the Kupperman index, KPS score, and CD4/CD8 ratio compared to Western medicine, with no severe adverse reactions.
Efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine for patients with postmenopausal hypertension: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Systematic review and meta-analysis of 39 RCTs involving 3,823 participants examining the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine for postmenopausal hypertension. Meta-analyses favored Chinese herbal medicine plus antihypertensive drugs on blood pressure, postmenopausal symptoms, quality of life, and hormone levels. Er-xian decoction and Rehmannia glutinosa were frequently used. No severe adverse effects were identified.
Add-on Rehmannia-6-Based Chinese Medicine in Type 2 Diabetes and CKD: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.
This multicenter RCT assessed the effectiveness of Rehmannia-6-based Chinese medicine on eGFR and albuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and CKD. The study found that Rehmannia-6 treatment stabilized eGFR compared to standard care alone over 48 weeks, although the change in UACR did not reach statistical significance.
Acteoside relieves mesangial cell injury by regulating Th22 cell chemotaxis and proliferation in IgA nephropathy.
The study explored the effect of acteoside, a component of Rehmannia glutinosa, on mesangial cell injury in IgA nephropathy. Acteoside improved proteinuria and Th22 lymphocytosis in patients, and inhibited Th22 cell chemotaxis and proliferation in vitro, suggesting its potential to alleviate mesangial cell inflammatory injury.
Comparing the effects of distilled Rehmannia glutinosa, Wild Ginseng and Astragali Radix pharmacopuncture with heart rate variability (HRV): a randomized, sham-controlled and double-blind clinical trial.
This randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial compared the effects of distilled Rehmannia glutinosa, Wild Ginseng, and Astragali Radix pharmacopuncture on the autonomic nervous system and heart rate variability in 120 healthy male volunteers. The study found that these substances tended to activate the autonomic nervous system, particularly the sympathetic nervous system.
The therapeutic effects of rehmannia oral liquid for the syndrome of heat accumulation with Yin consumption in esophagus cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy--a report of 60 cases.
RCT observing the effects of Rehmannia Oral Liquid on esophagus cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. The treatment improved patients' general condition, symptoms, and signs, with a higher short-term local control rate compared to the control group. Rehmannia Oral Liquid also balanced cytokine levels, reducing radiotherapy reactions and improving quality of life.
Effects of Distilled Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu and Rehmannia glutinosa Pharmacopuncture at GB21 (Jianjing) on Heart Rate Variability: A Randomized and Double-blind Clinical Trial.
Randomized, double-blind clinical trial with 40 healthy male participants to investigate the effects of distilled Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu and Rehmannia glutinosa pharmacopuncture on heart rate variability. Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu tended to activate the sympathetic nervous system, while Rehmannia glutinosa activated both sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
Rehmannia glutinosa reduced waist circumferences of Korean obese women possibly through modulation of gut microbiota.
Clinical study on the anti-obesity effect of steamed root of Rehmannia glutinosa in 12 Korean obese women. The study found a significant decrease in waist circumference and changes in gut microbiota, suggesting a potential prebiotic effect.
[Clinical study on treatment of mid-advanced crescentic nephritis by qingre huoxue recipe].
RCT evaluating integrative Chinese and Western medicine for treating mid-advanced crescentic nephritis. Qingre Huoxue recipe was added to standard treatment in the treated group. Renal function improved more in the treated group than in the control group, and glucocorticoid dosage was reduced.
