Rehmannia glutinosa for perimenopausal syndrome in patients with breast cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Systematic review and meta-analysis of 17 RCTs involving 1,139 patients assessing the effect of Chinese herbal medicine with Rehmannia glutinosa as the main ingredient on perimenopausal syndrome in breast cancer patients. The treatment significantly improved the Kupperman index, KPS score, and CD4/CD8 ratio compared to Western medicine, with no severe adverse reactions.

Efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine for patients with postmenopausal hypertension: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Systematic review and meta-analysis of 39 RCTs involving 3,823 participants examining the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine for postmenopausal hypertension. Meta-analyses favored Chinese herbal medicine plus antihypertensive drugs on blood pressure, postmenopausal symptoms, quality of life, and hormone levels. Er-xian decoction and Rehmannia glutinosa were frequently used. No severe adverse effects were identified.

Add-on Rehmannia-6-Based Chinese Medicine in Type 2 Diabetes and CKD: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.

This multicenter RCT assessed the effectiveness of Rehmannia-6-based Chinese medicine on eGFR and albuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and CKD. The study found that Rehmannia-6 treatment stabilized eGFR compared to standard care alone over 48 weeks, although the change in UACR did not reach statistical significance.

Acteoside relieves mesangial cell injury by regulating Th22 cell chemotaxis and proliferation in IgA nephropathy.

The study explored the effect of acteoside, a component of Rehmannia glutinosa, on mesangial cell injury in IgA nephropathy. Acteoside improved proteinuria and Th22 lymphocytosis in patients, and inhibited Th22 cell chemotaxis and proliferation in vitro, suggesting its potential to alleviate mesangial cell inflammatory injury.

The treatment improved patients' general condition, symptoms, and signs, with a higher short-term local control rate compared to the control group. Rehmannia Oral Liquid also balanced cytokine levels, reducing radiotherapy reactions and improving quality of life.
