Safety and target engagement profile of two oxaloacetate doses in Alzheimer's patients.

RCTn = 30Brain Health

RCT administering 500 or 1000 mg oxaloacetate twice daily for 1 month to Alzheimer's patients. Both doses were safe and tolerated, with the higher dose benefiting FDG PET glucose uptake and increasing glutathione in brain regions. Cognitive scores did not improve.

Oxaloacetate Treatment For Mental And Physical Fatigue In Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long-COVID fatigue patients: a non-randomized controlled clinical trial.

Studyn = 76Energy Mental Clarity

A non-randomized controlled clinical trial examined the effects of anhydrous enol-oxaloacetate (AEO) on fatigue in ME/CFS and Long-COVID patients. Over six weeks, AEO significantly reduced physical and mental fatigue, with improvements ranging from 22.5% to 27.9% in ME/CFS patients and up to 46.8% in Long-COVID patients.

Oxaloacetate as a Holy Grail Adjunctive Treatment in Gliomas: A Revisit to Metabolic Pathway

ReviewBrain Health

Narrative review discussing oxaloacetate (OAA) as an adjunctive treatment in gliomas, particularly glioblastoma multiforme. OAA inhibits lactate dehydrogenase A, reversing the Warburg effect, improving neuronal bioenergetics, and enhancing brain mitochondrial biogenesis. It shows potential to decrease tumor development and improve survival rates when combined with standard treatments.
