Efficacy of Myrrh in the treatment of schistosomiasis (haematobium and mansoni) in Ezbet El-Bakly, Tamyia Center, El-Fayoum Governorate, Egypt.

Field survey in Ezbet El-Bakly, Egypt, evaluating the efficacy of Mirazid (myrrh extract) in treating schistosomiasis haematobium and mansoni. Among 1019 individuals, the parasitological cure rate after three months was 97.4% for S. haematobium and 96.2% for S. mansoni, with no side effects reported.

Clinical trial of Mirazid in treatment of human fascioliasis, Ezbet El-Bakly (Tamyia Center) Al-Fayoum Governorate.

Efficacy and safety of myrrh in patients with incomplete abortion: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study.

RCT of 80 patients with incomplete abortion comparing 500 mg Myrrh oleo-gum-resin capsules to placebo three times a day for 2 weeks. Myrrh significantly reduced the mean diameter of retained products of conception and increased the rate of successful complete abortion compared to placebo, with no serious adverse effects reported.

A safe, effective, herbal antischistosomal therapy derived from myrrh.

RCT on 204 patients with schistosomiasis using myrrh at 10 mg/kg/day for three days, achieving a cure rate of 91.7%. Re-treatment increased the overall cure rate to 98.09%. The treatment was well tolerated with mild and transient side effects.

Evaluating Soft Tissue Healing after Implant Placement Using Two Different Mouthwashes (Myrrh and Chlorhexidine Gluconate): A Randomized Control Trial.

Efficacy of myrrh in the treatment of human Schistosomiasis mansoni.

RCT assessing the efficacy of myrrh (Mirazid) as an antischistosomal treatment in 104 individuals infected with Schistosoma mansoni. The cure rate with myrrh was very low, with 15.6% after the first treatment and 8.9% after the second treatment, raising doubts about its antischistosomal properties.

Preliminary study of therapeutic efficacy of a new fasciolicidal drug derived from Commiphora molmol (myrrh).

Preliminary study of myrrh (Commiphora molmol) for treating fascioliasis in 7 patients. Myrrh was administered at 12 mg/kg per day for 6 days, resulting in a dramatic drop in Fasciola egg count and improvement in symptoms. No toxicity or adverse effects were observed.
