Safety of Short-Term Supplementation with Methylliberine (Dynamine) Alone and in Combination with TeaCrinein Young Adults.
RCT examining the safety of four weeks of methylliberine (Dynamine) supplementation with and without theacrine (Teacrine) on cardiovascular function and blood biomarkers in 125 young adults. No clinically significant changes in health markers were observed, suggesting safety at the dosages used.
Methylliberine Ingestion Improves Various Indices of Affect but Not Cognitive Function in Healthy Men and Women.
This double-blind, randomized, within-subject crossover trial assessed the effects of methylliberine (Dynamine) supplementation on cognitive function and well-being in 25 healthy men and women. Methylliberine improved subjective feelings of energy, concentration, motivation, and mood, but had negligible influence on cognitive function and vitals. Women observed elevations in sustained energy with methylliberine compared to placebo.
A purine derivative, paraxanthine, promotes cysteine uptake for glutathione synthesis.
The study investigated the effect of caffeine metabolites on cysteine uptake in mouse hippocampal slices and HEK293 cells. Paraxanthine, a major metabolite of caffeine, increased cysteine content and intracellular glutathione levels, suggesting neuroprotective effects via EAAC1.
