The study found that silexan effectively ameliorates generalized anxiety comparable to lorazepam, with similar reductions in the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale scores and other anxiety measures. Silexan showed no sedative effects and no potential for drug abuse, suggesting it as a well-tolerated alternative to benzodiazepines.

A prospective randomized placebo-controlled study on 54 patients undergoing laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding evaluated the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy in reducing opioid requirements post-surgery. The lavender group required significantly less morphine postoperatively compared to the placebo group, suggesting lavender aromatherapy can reduce opioid demand in the immediate postoperative period.

The Use of Lavender Aromatherapy for Pain After Total Hip and Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Randomized Trial.

Effects of aromatherapy acupressure on hemiplegic shoulder pain and motor power in stroke patients: a pilot study.
