Effect of regular green tea () kombucha consumption on oxidative stress and endothelial health in individuals with excess body weight: a randomized controlled trial.

RCT evaluating the effect of daily consumption of 200 ml green tea kombucha on oxidative stress and endothelial health in individuals with excess body weight over 10 weeks. Kombucha consumption significantly reduced hydrogen peroxide levels, suggesting antioxidant properties, but did not alter other markers of oxidative stress and endothelial health.

Modulating the human gut microbiome and health markers through kombucha consumption: a controlled clinical study.

An eight-week clinical trial investigated the effects of a four-week kombucha supplement in healthy individuals on a Western diet. The study found no significant changes in biochemical parameters or inflammation markers, but noted increases in fasting insulin and HOMA-IR in the kombucha group and reductions in HDL cholesterol in the control group. Kombucha consumption modestly impacted gut microbiome composition.
