Effects of dietary humic and butyric acid on growth performance and response to lipopolysaccharide in young pigs.

RCTn = 448Inflammation Energy

This study investigated the effects of humic acid (MFG) and fat-protected butyric acid (BA) on growth performance and response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammation in young pigs. The combination of MFG and BA decreased serum cortisol and increased serum IGF-I in pigs subjected to LPS, indicating a complex role in modulating immune response and oxidative stress.

In vitro and in vivo assessment of humic acid as an aflatoxin binder in broiler chickens.

RCTn = 420

The study evaluated the in vitro and in vivo efficacy of oxihumate, a form of humic acid, as an aflatoxin binder in broiler chickens. Oxihumate showed high in vitro affinity for aflatoxin B1 and was effective in reducing the adverse effects of aflatoxin on body weight, liver damage, and other health parameters in broilers. The study suggests oxihumate could be beneficial in managing aflatoxin-contaminated feed for poultry.

Effects of humic acid on broiler chickens.

RCT

Two trials were conducted to assess the effects of humic acid on broiler chickens. Humic acid treatment decreased body weight but improved feed conversion ratio. There was no effect on tibial dyschondroplasia index or bone biomechanical strength, and no toxic effects were observed. Blood heterophil counts and heterophil to lymphocyte ratio decreased significantly in 4-week HA-treated birds.

Humic + Fulvic acid mitigated Cd adverse effects on plant growth, physiology and biochemical properties of garden cress

Study

The study investigated the effects of humic and fulvic acid (HA + FA) on mitigating cadmium (Cd) toxicity in garden cress. HA + FA application at 7000 mg/L improved plant growth parameters and reduced Cd uptake by 95%, demonstrating its potential to alleviate heavy metal stress in plants.

Ameliorative effects of humic acid on copper-induced liver injury via antioxidant and chelating mechanisms

Animal studyn = 40

Animal study investigating the effects of humic acid on copper-induced liver injury in rats. Humic acid demonstrated chelating and antioxidant properties, reducing hepatic copper accumulation, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, and alleviating liver damage.

Effects of Humic Acid and Blueberry Leaf Powder Supplementation in Feeds on the Productivity, Blood and Meat Quality of Finishing Pigs

Animal study

The study investigated the effects of humic acid and blueberry leaf powder supplementation in pig feed on productivity, blood profiles, and meat quality. Supplementation increased average daily feed intake and improved lipid profiles. Co-supplementation decreased pH in longissimus thoracis and enhanced sensory characteristics without adverse effects on meat quality.

Reducing Adverse Effects of Salinity in Peach Trees Grown in Saline Clay Soil

Study

Field experiment on peach trees in saline clay soil to study the effects of Uni-sal, humic acid, magnetic iron, and mycorrhizae on growth, productivity, and fruit quality. Treatments improved growth parameters, nutrient content, and fruit quality while reducing negative factors like leaf-Na and proline content.
