Deuterium-Depleted Water in Cancer Therapy: A Systematic Review of Clinical and Experimental Trials.
Systematic review of clinical and experimental trials on deuterium-depleted water (DDW) in cancer therapy. The review included fifteen studies, showing that DDW alone or with chemotherapy effectively inhibited cancer progression, potentially through regulating ROS-related genes in Keap1-Nrf2 signalling pathways.
Deuterium depleted water effects on survival of lung cancer patients and expression of Kras, Bcl2, and Myc genes in mouse lung.
Clinical study in 129 lung cancer patients consuming deuterium-depleted water (DDW) alongside conventional therapies. Median survival time was significantly longer in females than males. DDW also attenuated DMBA-induced expression of cancer-related genes in mouse lung, suggesting potential as a nontoxic anticancer dietary supplement.
